Parker's second century will take shape through its ability to adhere to the enduring ethos of progressive education, as well as our capacity to create new ideas and resources to support
future growth.
Recent new initiatives include:
- Robert A. Pritzker Visiting Scientist•Inventor•Engineer in Residence
- Schools journal: international leadership in educational publications, in partnership with the University of Chicago
- Ellen Liebman Principal's Fund for Educational Enrichment and Innovation
- Expanded curriculum in foreign language studies, computer science, math and science and health and diversity education
Endowment support for educational program initiatives enables Parker to pursue excellence, creativity, citizenship and excitement in learning, allowing teachers to respond quickly and thoughtfully to ideas as they develop new curriculum and maintain deeply meaningful curricular traditions without having to rely only on annual tuition increases.
