"An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest."
Benjamin Franklin
The Founding Our Second Century Campaign is the most ambitious capital campaign in the history of Francis W. Parker School. The Campaign seeks to raise $89 million, with the major funding objectives of endowment and facility improvements.
Since its inception in 2004, the Campaign has made great strides in improving and enhancing the School's campus, including:
- Suzanne Crown Goodman Science Wing
- Fourth floor east wing addition, including classrooms for the visual, dramatic and musical arts
- North wing renovation, which includes visual arts facilities, a dance studio, athletics facilities and improved climate control
- Diane and David B Heller Auditorium
With the majority of the School's facility improvements addressed, the Campaigns focus now turns to a vital asset - the endowment. The endowment supports the people and programs that are fundamental to Francis W. Parker School.
The endowment comprises three key areas:
- Financial assistance
- Faculty endowment
- Educational programs
Parker has one of the lowest endowments when compared to other independent schools around the country. Parker needs to grow its endowment to at least $50 million in order to sustain and enhance the school's commitment to maintain a diverse student body, attract and retain the best teachers and continue to provide innovative educational programs.
